Pristinamycin is a cyclic peptide lactone (Ia, Ib, Ic) and macrocyclic lactone (IIa and IIb) consisting of a mixture of two types of antibiotics. Pristinamycin has similar properties of erythromycin and antibacterial spectrum.
Clinical mainly for drug-resistant staph and other infections caused by susceptible strains.
