Estradiol benzoate is an estrogen drug. The effect is the same as that of estradiol, which can make endometrium hyperplasia, enhance uterine smooth muscle contraction, and promote mammary gland development and hyperplasia: large doses can inhibit the release of prolactin, antagonize the effect of androgen, and increase calcium deposition in bone. This product is mainly metabolized in the liver and decomposed into estradiol, part of which binds to sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), and the unbound free part binds to the target tissue and estrogen receptors, and produces estrogenic effects through transcription and protein synthesis. In the liver or kidney, estrogen combines with glucuronic acid or sulfate group to become a water-soluble salt that is quickly excreted from the kidney.
Function of Estradiol Benzoate
