Function of Adapalene
Adapalene is used to treat acne.
Adapalene is in a class of medications called retinoid-like compounds.
Adapalene works by stopping pimples from forming under the surface of the skin.
Application of Adapalene
Adapalene gel has a good effect on mild to moderate acne vulgaris. Clinical studies have found that it can reduce non-inflammatory skin lesions by 69.6% to 73.2%, inflammatory lesions by 68% to 72.1%, and cure rate of 17.5%. ~22.2%;
total effective rate is 75% to 95%. One study found that adapalene gel has the same effect on acne as retinoic acid, but is superior to inflammatory papules and pustules.
