Toltrazuril is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic for humans and animals.
It works by interfering with proteins in either the worm's intestine or absorptive cells. This leads to the worm not being able to absorb sugar (glucose), which are essential for its survival. Therefore the energy stores of the worm are depleted, and this leads to its eventual death within several days.
Toltrazuril is the triazine ketone compounds, broad-spectrum resistance to ball insect activity.It is widely used in chicken coccidiosis. It has the function of ball of ball insect has an effect both asexual cycle, such as inhibition of schizont, small nuclear division of gametes and small body wall formation of gametes.
Due to the interference ball insect cell nucleus division and mitochondria, affect insect body of respiratory and metabolic function, and can make the cells endoplasmic reticulum enlargement, serious empty cell, thus has killed ball insect.
